LUSH are famous for two things, their bath bombs & their shampoo bars. Now, if you haven't heard of these before you are not alone! I was rather in the dark about these until recent months, basically its shampoo in the form a circular bar (the name says it all). One of the great things about these bars is that there is no waste. You're not fumbling around near the end of the bottle trying to squeeze the last ounce out & you're not having to throw away any packaging - thumbs up for eco friendly products!!
Jason and the Argan Oil: Cruelty-Free & Vegan, £5.75 for a 55g bar.
This bar smells AMAZING! There is quite a few of their products that smell like this (and no doubt these are hugely popular!) The ingredients are a mix of Argan Oil (which helps repair) & Rose Jam (Organic Rose Absolute - restorative & balancing), Geranium Oil (toning & balancing) & Sicilian Lemon Oil (uplifting & cleansing). This is such a nice product to use. It foams up very quickly & doesn't take long to get all my hair covered. This isn't a heavy shampoo and once dry, my hair feels light & fluffy, stays curly without frizz, smells great and most importantly is lovely and clean! This is the 3rd time I have purchased this product, a great first bar for anyone looking to purchase any of their bars!
Lullaby: Cruelty-Free & Vegan, £5.75 for a 55g bar.
This bar has a much more relaxing tone to it, with an ingredient mix of Lavender (soothing), Chamomile oil (soothing & brightening), Oat milk (soothing & calming) & Jojoba Oil (naturally moisturising) its a lovely calming pamper for your scalp. The first time I used this I wasn't too sure about it, it has a different texture to Jason and has a slightly different effect on my hair (not a bad one though) but I have used this several more times now & i'm very happy with it. This bar still foams up lovely & cleans my hair perfectly. And as you can see from the below pictures, my hair still goes curly (and big. And stays this way all day) using both bars (excuse the faded red hair - it's getting towards dyeing time!).
I was skeptical about these shampoo bars but everyone was raving about them, they're so much more eco friendly, they do the same (and mostly better) job as bottled shampoos, they smell great, they're Vegan & Cruelty-Free, they foam up lovely and clean hair spectacularly. These bars last nearly as long as three 250g bottles of liquid shampoo - nearly 80 washes (which is great as I wash my hair everyday). There are loads to choose from, I do advise you grab an expert in the shop though (there are so many you need to get the right one for you & your hair type).
If you haven't tried one, do it. They will surprise you!
