I LOVE finding new brands and this one is a cracker - ECO by Sonya. A few months ago I ordered a beauty box from Flora & Fauna, this is a company in Australia that specialise in being the number one place to get all your natural & organic products from. I believe I came across them through a #crueltyfree search on Instagram one day and saw they sold a lot of not only cruelty-free products but vegan too. And what was even better, they had beauty boxes with this criteria. I couldn't wait to try some Australian brands that ticked all the boxes, I certainly wasn't disappointed.
My favourite product in the box was the above ECO by Sonya Coconut Deodorant (this is also available to purchase from the F & F website). Coconut is such a fabulous smell, I try to incorporate it in my beauty products as much as possible so this find is fabulous. Good points about this deo -
- Certified vegan (Clearly stated on the back of the bottle)
- Certified cruelty-free (Clearly stated on the back of the bottle)
- Certified Organic (Clearly stated on the back of the bottle)
- Certified vegetarian
- Certified vegan
- No Parabens
- No Aluminium
- No synthetic ingredients
- No GMO's
This deodorant smells amazing, there is a lovely raw coconut aroma to it - not too sweet but just gorgeous (smells nice & pure and not synthetic!). I can imagine it looks odd to anyone walking in after I have applied this as I just keep smelling my armpits! Some organic & natural deo's I've tried just haven't cut it, it's all very well having no nasty ingredients in the product but it has to work. I was thrilled when this stood the test of the day, with just 3/4 or so sprays in the morning after my shower (I do two sprays-let it dry for a few minutes then another 2 before I put my top on) this deodorant lasts all day (I try not to sniff my armpits so much while out in public you understand) but I can assure you I was checking throughout the day and they still smelt great!. I love that this product sticks to its ethics of being a natural product and yet does not compromise on effectiveness.
ECO by Sonya is the only brand that has certified organic self tanning products too (the only two products aren't vegan are the two sunscreens - tinted & un-tinted and this is because they contain beeswax in order to be water resistant. They have assured me they have a great connection & input on where this comes from too). They are also an Australian based company but are working their way into the UK, so much so I saw them at the Just V show the other month at their stall and had a lovely chat to the ladies behind the brand.
You can purchase this deodorant from Flora & Fauna at £8.97 for a 125ml bottle (currently offering 20% off this product) this is however from Australia so there is an air fair, the same goes for the ECO by Sonya site, alternatively (luckily) there are two distributors here in the UK - Naturally Wright & Organically Epic.
I have a few products from this company so stay tuned to hear more about this fabulous brand!
